By: May. 13, 2010

Moonlight Stage Productions announces that effective in 2011, it will consolidate its winter season by performing all of its shows back-to-back beginning in January. For its 2011 summer season, the company will add a fourth musical to its line-up. The expansion of next summer's popular season of outdoor musicals was approved by the Vista City Council at a regular meeting on May 11, 2010.

Prior to 2011, the theatre's winter season had been presented at downtown Vista's AVO Playhouse with a show in November, followed by two shows in January through March. Beginning in 2011, the AVO Playhouse winter season will present three shows back to back from January through April. The 2011 winter season will include a comedy, a small-scale musical, and a drama.

For the 2011 Summer Season at the Moonlight Amphitheatre, a fourth musical will be added to the line-up. The summer season will run from June through September in 2011. "Our patrons have been requesting a fourth musical and we are very happy to be fulfilling that request," Producing Artistic Director Kathy Brombacher said. "Our season will have more variety and will give our audiences the opportunity to start their summer a little earlier and spend an additional evening in the Amphitheatre."

The 2011 Winter Season at the AVO Playhouse will be announced later this summer. The 2011 Summer Season will be announced early next year.

Moonlight Stage Productions is currently preparing to celebrate its 30th Anniversary Summer Season at the Moonlight Amphitheatre. This summer's productions are OKLAHOMA! Moonlight Stage Productions is partially funded by the Moonlight Cultural Foundation, the non-profit fund-raising arm of the theatre.
