Lambda Archives Celebrates Women's History Month
By: A.A. Cristi
The Power of Intersectionality in Lesbian Activism will be the topic of the next Out at the Archives set for March 23 at 7 p.m. at Diversionary Theatre. This installment of the popular educational series presented by Lambda Archives celebrates Women's History Month by featuring a panel of lesbians who have worked as activists across a variety of causes.
The scheduled panelists have made an impact in the areas of African American, Latina, Workers Rights, Immigration, and Women's Rights in general. Among others on the panel we will have Kim Sontag-Mulder, the president of the local chapter of NOW and one of the primary forces behind the San Diego Women's March in January. Tickets are available at diversionary.org and are $10 for general admission. (Members and students may use code WOMEN for half-price tickets.* Advance tickets are strongly suggested. "This season of Out at the Archives will be sponsored by Robert Hubbard of Mass Mutual Financial Group. We are excited to have the support of corporate partners to continue to provide quality programing," said Joel Steward, Lambda Archives board president. Hubbard said, "MassMutual continues to demonstrate our long-standing commitment to the LGBT community by supporting important local and national organizations and legislation to improve LGBT equality, as well as inclusive employee programs and business practices."
