Make Music San Diego AXIS through its partnership with You Are Musical Project (Y.A.M.P.), joins the free celebration of music held around the world on June 21. Make Music Day, was launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique; it has expanded to more than 800 cities in 120 countries. Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music Day is open to anyone who wants to take part. Every kind of musician - young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion - pours onto streets, parks, plazas, and porches to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers. You Are Musical Project (Y.A.M.P.) is a free participatory community music making initiative that brings together ancient and modern musical tools to engage everyday people in making music together in public spaces. No previous musical experience is required, just step right up to any of the digital instrument stations, live microphones or percussion instruments and start making music right away with everyone.

Elvina Adams has been dancing since the age of three, with extensive local training. She has taught at Culture Shock Dance Studio, master classes at Grossmont College, and workshops at USD's Summer Bridge program; and created award winning hip hop competition sets for Ramona Julian Academy of Dance, Arwen Daniels Dance Academy, and Heart 2 Art. For the past two years, she choreographed/staged dance and musical theater segments for the Globe's Pam Farr Summer Shakespeare Studio. Her wide range of training blends into the unique style presented here.
