On Thursday, May 5, the inimitable Frenchie Davis makes her MA4 debut to share her powerful and dynamic vocal stylings. With musical direction by Nick Petrillo, The Frenchie Davis Experience will be an evening of pop and soul cabaret featuring innovative and soulful arrangements of songs spanning every decade. Songbird Davis was born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Los Angeles, where she started her musical journey performing in plays throughout her school years, eventually deciding to audition for the second season of the groundbreaking FOX show, American Idol. Her success on the show launched the Howard University alum's rise to fame rather quickly, and she has been progressing ever since.
She's known for her TV performances on Season 2 of American Idol and as a member of Team Christina on Season 1 of The Voice, and her stage performances in Dreamgirls, Mahalia: A Gospel Musical, Grammy-nominated Ain't Misbehavin', Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella (Enchanted Edition) and on Broadway in RENT.
Frenchie's shows receive rave reviews and continue to sell out to audiences who are amazed by her unique singing voice and raw wit. She is currently in talks to develop a plus-size lingerie line, and she recently finished recording her debut CD, Finally...Frenchie, in Atlanta (with Producer Chris Willis).
