San Diego Theatres continues to offer a wide range of the best entertainment for their audiences with the announcement of the first presentations of an evolving 2011-2012 BALBOA THEATRE SEASON! The previously announced FRAMPTON COMES ALIVE! 35TH Anniversary World Tour stop on August 2 will be joined by two other great events, k.d. lang and the SISS BOOM BANG on October 24 and An Evening With Howie Mandel on October 23.

Following his critically acclaimed new album Thank You Mr Churchill, Grammy®-winning guitarist and songwriter Peter Frampton will embark on a world tour this June celebrating his multi-platinum-selling live album Frampton Comes Alive!, performing the legendary album in its entirety across the U.S., Canada, Europe, South America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. San Diego Theatres presents this landmark event at the historic BALBOA THEATRE on TUESDAY, AUGUST 2, 2011 at 8PM!

The three-hour show will feature a complete performance of Frampton Comes Alive! along with highlights from Frampton's catalog, including his Grammy® Award-winning instrumental album, 2006's Fingerprints. Frampton remains one of the most celebrated artists and guitarists in rock history. At 16, he was lead singer and guitarist for British teen band the Herd. At 18, he co-founded one of the first super groups, seminal rock act Humble Pie. His fifth solo album, the electrifying Frampton Comes Alive!, is one of the top-selling live records of all time. Tickets range from $39 - $110 (including $2 Facility Fee), and are On Sale Now.

k.d. lang and the SISS BOOM BANG arrives OCTOBER 24 at 8PM, with Special Guest Teddy Thompson, the well-known British folk and rock musician. Celebrating 26 years of her recording career, k.d. lang has started fresh and recorded Sing it Loud with her own band, the SISS BOOM BANG. Music director Joe Pisapia, guitarist Joshua Grange, keyboardist Daniel Clarke, bassist Lex Price & drummer Fred Eltringham perform with lang. Tickets range from $40 - $100 (including $2 Facility Fee); $1 of each ticket sold will be donated to Ari Bhod, whose mission is to preserve & protect the priceless legacy of the ancient Tibetan Nyingma lineage tradition, a sacred culture of peace.

Sing it Loud is lang's first studio album since 2008's Watershed, her first made entirely with a band of her own since the initial pair of albums with the Reclines that launched her groundbreaking career. In 2010, Recollection, a etrospective, marked the 25th anniversary of her recording debut. She has won four GRAMMY® awards, eight Juno Awards, a BRIT, an AMA, a VMA, and four awards from GLAAD. In 1996, she received Canada's highest civilian honor, the Order of Canada. She has appeared alongside such musical luminaries as Roy Orbison, Bonnie Raitt, Elton John, Loretta Lynn, and Tony Bennett. "She's the best singer of her generation," observed Bennett, who frequently toured with lang since their 2002 Wonderful World duets album. lang has contributed to numerous soundtracks, appeared in films, and is renowned for her live shows, prompting NY Times' Stephen Holden to observe: "Few singers command such perfection of pitch. Her voice, at once beautiful and unadorned and softened with a veil of smoke, invariably hits the middle of a note and remains there."

An Evening With Howie Mandel will keep audiences in stitches on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 23 at 7PM. The versatile career of Howie Mandel has encompassed virtually all aspects of the entertainment spectrum, including television, film & stage. From his work on Emmy-Award winning "St. Elsewhere" (6 seasons as Dr. Wayne Fiscus), to the international children's series "Bobby's World," Howie has become a mainstay of the American comedy scene. Currently host of the new hidden camera show "Mobbed," he also serves as a judge on "America's Got Talent" & won an Emmy for his "Deal or No Deal" game show, but still finds time to perform his stand-up concert across the U.S. & Canada. Howie has done countless comedy specials both on cable and network television. He has hosted his own syndicated talk show, "The Howie Mandel Show", continues to be a mainstay on the talk-show circuit, including "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" performing his signature hidden-camera bits, and as a fill-in for Regis on "Live With Regis And Kelly." In 2009, his frank, funny, no-holds-barred memoir "Here's the Deal: Don't Touch Me" revealed his ongoing struggle with OCD and ADHD and how it has shaped his life and career - making the New York Times Bestseller list for several weeks. Tickets range from $30 - $90 (including $2 Facility Fee). Mature Content.
