The Grand Theatre Presents a Town Hall Meeting with Edward James Olmos, 11/9

Edward James Olmos is an actor, producer, director and community activist. He will be the guest speaker at The Grand Theatre on Wednesday, November 9 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Mr. Olmos' presentation will be in English. Audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions of Mr. Olmos in both English and Spanish. The event is free and open to the public and is located at The Grand Theatre, Salt Lake Community College, 1575 South State Street. Parking is available behind the building.

Olmos has won an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award for his portrayal of Lt. Castillo on the Miami Vice TV series as well as an Oscar nomination for his role in Stand and Deliver. Olmos is also a dedicated philanthropist, taking a special interest in the problems facing youth and serves as executive director of the Lives in Hazard Educational Project, a national gang prevention program funded by the US Department of Justice.
