Terrace Plaza Playhouse Seeks Actors for THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE

Terrace Plaza Playhouse, 99 E 4700 S, Ogden, will be holding auditions for their production of THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE.

Audition date:             February 11, 2012

Time:                           1:00 – 4:00 PM

Call director, Leslie Richards at 801-814-6219 for an appointment. Call backs will be the following Saturday by invitation. Be prepared with 16 bars of an upbeat Broadway song. Piano, CD and iPod dock accompanist will be available. No accapella auditions. Millie has several dance numbers, including a tap number. Dance auditions will take place at call backs. There are dancing and non-dancing roles available - all roles are available except the role of Mrs. Meers.

ABOUT THE PLAY

THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE is a high-spirited musical romp! Taking place in New York City in 1922, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE tells the story of young Millie Dillmount, who has just moved to the city in search of a new life for herself. It’s a New York full of intrigue and jazz - a time when women were entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behavior were changing forever. Filled with frisky flappers, dashing leading men and a dragon-lady of a villainess audiences will love to hate.
