THE LITTLE MERMAID Plays Kingsbury Hall 11/12-13
Kingsbury Hall Presents Youth Theatre at the U in an all-new original adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's beloved fairy tale The Little Mermaid. Adapted by local playwright and actor Nicholas Dunn, with lyrics and musical direction by YTU artistic director Penelope Caywood, The Little Mermaid will be performed at Kingsbury Hall on the University of Utah campus on Thursday and Friday, November 12-13 at 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, November 14 at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students 18 and under, and are available by calling 801-581-7100 or visiting www.kingtix.com.
The Little Mermaid tells the story of the youngest daughter of the Sea King who trades her voIce To a witch for a chance to win the heart of the human prince. Intertwining a little fun and humor from modern interpretations, Youth Theatre's production retains the important lessons and beauty inherent in Andersen's original story.
