Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with popular puppeteers Stephen & Teresa Gashler as they present fairy tales straight from Ireland as part of SCERA's monthly puppet show series on Saturday, March 16 @ 11am.
The Irish-themed puppet show will tell how Finnia McCool defeats the fiercest giant in the land - with her wits alone; how Bevene saves her goose brother from the spell of the leprechaun who messes with people's lives because it's funny; and Frumious the Dragon will give a special guest performance.
Stephen & Teresa Gashler are a husband and wife entertaining duo who have performed all throughout Utah at schools, libraries and special events as puppeteers, storytellers, and musicians.
Their show, perfect for families with children and the young at heart, will be at the SCERA Center for the Arts on Saturday, March 16 @ 11:00am. Tickets for the 45-minute show are $3 for ages 3 and older and may be purchased in advance from 10am-6pm weekdays and Saturdays from 12Noon-6pm at the main office at SCERA Center, by calling (801) 225-ARTS, online at www.scera.org or at the door 30 minutes prior to the show.
SCERA President & CEO Adam J. Robertson says "Be sure and wear green or you might get pinched!"
The SCERA Puppet Shop, under the direction of Nat Reed, hosts a different puppet show each month. There is one last show in the series, and it will be held April 20.
