Pioneer Theater Adds Matinee Performance Of MISS SAIGON 5/13 At 2pm

Due to popular demand, an extra matinee performance of Miss Saigon has been added on Wednesday, May 13th, 2009. The performance takes place at 2:00 p.m.

Tickets go on sale via the internet here on Sunday, April 26th, and via the Box Office at 801-581-6961 on Monday, April 27th, 2009 at 10 a.m. Tickets for all other performances can also be purchased.

Miss Saigon is the spectacular musical phenomenon by the same team that created Les Miserables.

The success of the current production can be attributed in part to the cast assembled. Miss Saigon features Shannon Tyo in her PTC debut as Kim, Kevin Gray as The Engineer, Josh Rouah as Chris, Rodney Hicks as John, and Natalie Hill as Ellen. Gray has appeared on Broadway as The Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera, as Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar, and as Scar in the National Tour of The Lion King. Rouah recently appeared on Broadway in the revival of Grease, Hicks was seen in the closing cast of Rent on Broadway as Benny, and Orem, Utah native Hill was last seen as Cha Cha DiGregorio in Grease on Broadway.

Pioneer Theatre Company, Utah's premier professional theatre, performs at the Roy W. and Elizabeth E. Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre, located on the University of Utah campus at 300 South and 1400 East, Salt Lake City UT 84112-0660. The theatre is equipped with an elevator, hearing assistance devices, and handicapped parking.
