PTC Announces Auditions for OUR TOWN To Be Held 10/2

Auditions for Pioneer Theatre Company's production of Our Town will be held on Friday, October 2nd, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The time slots from 1 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. are reserved for AEA (Equity) members only, but AEA members may sign up for any time slot. Callbacks will be the morning of Saturday, October 3rd, 2009; the time will be announced. Auditions will be held in Room 245 at the Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. Auditioners will be required to read selected sides from the script.

The parts of the young girl Emily and her mother Mrs. Webb are already cast. All other roles are currently available.


Non-Equity auditioners must come in to sign up for an audition slot on the callboard in Room 325 at the Roy W. and Elizabeth E. Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre; AEA members may call ElizaBeth Williamson at 801-585-5855 to sign up. Only members ofcActors' Equity Association may call ahead; all others must come into the theatre to sign up for a time slot. The sign-up sheet will be posted by noon on Friday, September 25th, 2009. Audition sides will be available at the same time. Scripts are available for checkout on an overnight basis from the Business Office (Room 325) of the theatre.

Rehearsal dates for the production are Monday, February 15th, 2009 - Thursday, March 11th, 2010; performance dates are Friday, March 12th - Saturday, March 27th, 2010. PTC Artistic Director Charles Morey will direct the production.

Auditions are for actors ages 18 and over. All roles are available except those of Mrs. Webb and Emily.
