MiniKiss to Appear at Gangrene Film Festival 9/3

By:

Minikiss, an all Little People Kiss tribute band is poised to don the leather and chrome, paint on the makeup, and hit a Utah stage on September 3rd. The Little People rockers, launched to popularity by their appearance with the real Kiss band in 2010's super bowl commercial, have set out on their own tour across the United States. Although their tour is mostly constrained to the Eastern Coast and Mid-west, they have agreed to make a special trip to their western-most destination: Layton, Utah.

The Gangrene Film Festival is poised to be a fusion of comedy and classic heavy metal. Each year, Gangrene takes on a new look and feel. Past flavors have included a high-pressure used car lot, a Wild Bill Western show, and a hillbilly hootenanny. For 2010, the Gangrene guys have entitled their flagship show, "The Gangrene Film Festival Goes to 11."

Ben Fuller, Gangrene board member, said, "We wanted something amped up for 2010, so we went with a rock and roll comedy show. Anyone who has ever come to the film fest understands that Minikiss is a natural fit for Gangrene."

Having lasted for over a decade, The Gangrene Film Festival regularly exposes their audiences to the most funny and absurd of live acts. "We've booked a hand fart musician, a pair of luchadore wrestlers, Elvis impersonators, and many more talented guest performers. We've even had a live motorcycle jump right on stage," said Aaron Ozminski, Gangrene board member, "We feel that Minikiss, like our other guest acts, will deliver the goods in spades."

Along with Minikiss, Gangrene goers will be entertained by a grundel family safe, funny short films from all over the world. With the growing popularity of Gangrene, visiting film directors have come to Utah from as far as London, Calgary, Montreal, and Los Angeles to see their films up on the Gangrene Film Fest big screen.

The gates open for The Gangrene Film Festival Goes to 11 at 6:30 p.m. on September 3rd, 2010 at the Ed Kenly Amphitheater in Layton, Utah. More information and advance tickets are available at www.gangreneproductions.com.
