HCTO Presents PETER PAN, Now thru 6/14
Fly away with Peter, Wendy, Tinkerbell, and Captain Hook as J.M. Barrie's magical, musical fairytale of the "Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up" is cleverly re-imagined for the HCTO stage! A favorite for children of all ages. Come back to Neverland, and remember what it's like to pretend!
Featuring an unforgettable score by Morris "Moose" Charlap and Jule Styne with lyrics by Carolyn Leigh and Betty Comden and Adolph Green, Peter Pan is one of the most beloved and frequently performed family favorites of all time.
Peter and his mischievous fairy sidekick Tinkerbell visit the nursery of the Darling children late one night and with a sprinkle of pixie dust begin a magical journey across the stars that none of them will ever forget. In the adventure of a lifetime the travelers come face to face with a ticking crocodile, a band of bungling pirates, mystical mermaids and of course the villainous Captain Hook.
Featuring the iconic songs "I'm Flying," "I've Gotta Crow," "I Won't Grow Up," and "Never Never Land," HCTO's production has all of the joy and magic that children have loved for generations, but also has a depth of meaning and storytelling that adults will understand and cherish.
Dave Tinney, director/choreographer of HCTO's production says of the show, "We are focusing on the power of a child's imagination; remembering what it was like to pretend before time made us forget how."
Joining Mr. Tinney on the production team are Rob Moffat as music director and assistant director, Bobby Swenson (scenic design), MaryAnn Hill (costumes), Janna Larsen (hair & make-up), Cody Swenson (lighting) and Cody Hale (sound).
Tickets range in price from $17 - $21 each ($4 or $5 less for children). Children 4 years and older are always welcome to any show. "Peter Pan" will run nightly (except Sundays) today, April 24 - June 14. Evening performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Saturday matinees begin at 3:00 p.m. each week.
