ADAM & STEVE AND THE EMPTY SEA by Matthew Greene

Friday, July 27 at 1pm, Shepherd Union, Weber State University Campus

Part of OUTReach’s first annual LGBTQ Youth Summit: Reach In, Team Up, Reach Out: Building A Supportive Community for All

Two childhood friends grapple with religion, sexuality and adulthood in ADAM & STEVE AND THE EMPTY SEA by Matthew Greene, which will receive its world premiere during Plan-B’s 2012/13 season. In advance of that production, a staged reading will be held featuring the cast that will perform in the full production—Topher Rasmussen and Logan Tarantino, directed by Jerry Rapier—as part of OUTReach’s first annual LGBTQ Youth Summit. Followed by a discussion with the cast, director and playwright.

Free with Summit attendance. If you would like to attend the reading without attending the summit, you may pay $8 at the door (proceeds go to OUTReach).

SUFFRAGE by Jenifer Nii

Saturday, July 28 at 11am, Olpin Student Union, University of Utah Campus

Part of the 2012 Sunstone Symposium: Mormons and Mormonism as a Political Force

Two sister wives navigate Utah's little-know place in history as the second state to give women the vote in SUFFRAGE by Jenifer Nii, which will receive its world premiere during Plan-B’s 2012/13 season. In advance of that production, a staged reading will be held featuring the cast that will perform that production—April Fossen and Sarah Young, directed by Cheryl Cluff—as part of the 2012 Sunstone Symposium. Followed by a discussion with the cast, director and playwright.

Free with Symposium attendance. If you would like to attend the reading without attending the summit, you may pay $8 at the door (proceeds go to Sunstone).
