A KURT BESTOR CHRISTMAS Comes to Salt Lake City's Eccles Theater in December

Emmy-award-winning and Grammy-nominated composer and performer, Kurt Bestor, will perform A Kurt Bestor Christmas 2019 concerts Dec. 12-14, 2019. This year Bestor celebrates his 32nd year of performing his annual holiday concerts, and he invites his audience to discover, relive, and share the magic of A Kurt Bestor Christmas.

"Some people have never seen A Kurt Bestor Christmas show, so we invite them to come this year and DISCOVER it," said Bestor. "Many people grew up seeing the show, though perhaps it's been years, so for them the message is to RELIVE it. Lastly, many people now have kids and grandkids that they bring to the show with them to SHARE the magic."

In addition to Bestor's popular holiday hits played by his all-star band and world-class orchestra, he will be arranging new music for some very special guests who will be announced at a later date.

Performances are at The Eccles Theater, located at 131 South Main Street in downtown Salt Lake City. A Kurt Bestor Christmas 2019 is sponsored by Nate Wade Subaru, and a special Nate Wade Family Package is being offered; use the code "FAMPACK" and get up to eight tickets for only $25 each.

Tickets are on sale beginning July 30th online at Live-at-the-Eccles.com, by phone at 801-355-ARTS and the Eccles Theater Box Office (M-F 10a-6p and Sat 10a-2p). The George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Theater is located at 131 Main Street in Salt Lake City. Show times are Thursday, Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 13 at 8:00 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 14 at 2:00 and 8:00 p.m.

Bestor's holiday show began 32 years ago in Salt Lake City and continues to draw upon Utah's wealth of musical talent to enhance the world-class nature of his annual shows. Local guest performers have included Ryan Innes, George Dyer, award-winning guitarist Michael Dowdle, Jenny Frogley, Grammy nominated violinist Jenny Oaks Baker, One Voice Children's Choir and Lexi Walker. Other musical performers have included Oscar-award winning singer Jennifer Warnes, Grammy-award winners Melissa Manchester and Jonathan Butler, Alex Sharpe, a former member of the worldwide popular group Celtic Woman, and the classically trained tenor vocalist, Nathan Pacheco.

Kurt Bestor is an Emmy-award-winning and Grammy-nominated composer who, for almost four decades, has composed and arranged music in a myriad of styles and genres. Bestor has scored numerous feature-length films, television show themes and underscores, 18 popular albums in a variety of styles, a mix of live shows and commissioned works for choirs and orchestras, and his iconic song of peace, "Prayer of the Children," which is still sung by choirs, groups, and soloists throughout the world. As a gifted performer, Bestor has performed his popular Christmas shows for 32 years to sold-out audiences throughout the western United States. People from Seattle to Dallas have enjoyed his easy-going manner and rapport with the audience as well as his distinctive arrangements of Yuletide favorites.
