Shakespeares Twelfth Night might have been the first gender-bending comedy. Twins Viola and Sebastian are separated by a shipwreck. Viola disguises herself as a young man, calls herself Cesario, makes her way to the nearest town, finds a job with the local duke, and falls in lovewith him. Meanwhile, Duke Orsino is in love with Olivia. Olivia doesnt love Orsino but tumbles head-over-heels with Cesario. Then Sebastian shows up and all bets are off. Shakespeare includes his usual characters of the fool, the foolish old man, and wise-cracking servants to make Twelfth Night a truly entertaining fast-paced romantic comedy with several interwoven plots of romance, mistaken identities, lust for ambition, and practical jokes.Performing September 9, 10, 16, 17, and 18 at 7:30pm- Seating is open within the designated seating area and starts at 7pm.- Bring a chair and/or blanket.
