Mendocino Theatre Company presents OUTSIDE MULLINGAR.
Mendocino Theatre Company concludes its 40th anniversary season with the delightfully quirky love story, Outside Mullingar. Written by award-winning playwright John Patrick Shanley, author of Doubt and Moonstruck, the play is directed by Lorry Lepaule and runs November 2 to December 3, 2017 on MTC's Helen Schoeni stage.
Set in the sprawling Irish countryside, this is the wistful story of the slow-kindled romance of two farmers, Anthony and Rosemary--eccentric soul that, perhaps, are just right for each other. But these two loners must overcome a land feud and their own clumsiness to find happiness. "This is a play that makes you laugh out loud, cry, and enjoy language as it's meant to be enjoyed," says director Lorry Lepaule. "If you're a fan of love stories, then this is a play you will not want to miss!"
Outside Mullingar features Summer Makovkin, Dwight Branscombe, Nancy Nelson, and Seamus Keighran. The creative team includes designers Diane Larson (set), Dave Gealey (lighting), Ken Krauss (sound), and Susan Collins (costumes). It plays Thursdays through Saturdays at 8:00 pm and select Sundays at 2:00 pm at the Mendocino Theatre Company, 45200 Little Lake Street in Mendocino. For tickets and information, phone the MTC box office at 707-937-4477 or go to mendocinotheatre.org.
