Capital Stage favorite Katie Rubin (The North Plan, In The Next Room Or The Vibrator Play) will return to Capital Stage with her solo comedy performance of $!@# Christmas (But Gently And With Love)!
Grandma is a cantankerous old grouch. Her daughter Kay is a judgmental jerk. And Kay's daughter, LK, might just be a...Wizard...of some kind? Together, they are the strange (and strained) three generations of women who comprise the current incarnation of the Terdberg family. On this "very special Christmas eve," they will gather in a basement in Jersey for the first time in nearly a decade. Profanity will be proffered, pills will be popped, people will puke, and dreams...just might come true.
Think of "$!@# Christmas" as a "Bad Santa" meets "Elmo's World" journey from the psychological, through the scatological, into the fantastical. Welcome to Christmas done...Katie Rubin Style. ADVISORY: This performance is recommended for adult audiences.
