INTERNATIONAL GUITAR NIGHT Returns at Harris Center

Each year, INTERNATIONAL GUITAR NIGHT founder Brian Gore invites a new cast of guitar luminaries from around the world to participate in a special concert tour, highlighting the virtuosity and diversity within the world of acoustic guitar music. For IGN's 18th year of touring, Germany's Gypsy Jazz legend Lulo Reinhardt will return as the show's host and will be joined by Calum Graham, the young Canadian contemporary sensation; Marek Pasieczny, Poland's innovative classical composer/performer; and award-winning American guitarist Michael Chapdelaine.

Now a Harris Center tradition, THE INTERNATIONAL GUITAR NIGHT (IGN) is the world's premier touring guitar festival, each show bringing together the most interesting and innovative acoustic guitarists to exchange musical ideas in a public concert setting. For each tour, IGN founder Brian Gore invites a new cast of guitar luminaries to join him for special evenings of solos, duets, and quartets that highlight the dexterity and diversity within the world of acoustic guitar. Brian founded IGN in 1995 as a forum for the world's finest guitarists/composers to play their latest original songs and share musical ideas and talent with their peers.

Gypsy jazz legend LULO REINHARDT, who returns as guest host for IGN'S 18th year, is constantly on tour with his own "Lulo Reinhardt Latin Swing Project." In additional to annual Australian tours that began in 2008, they have played in the United States, China, France, Switzerland, Belgium, England, the Czech Republic, Scotland and Germany. Lulo has also performed as a soloist with the IGN troupe in 2009 and 2011, going to Canada, America and the UK. Lulo was asked to be guest host of International Guitar Night in 2017. He's back on board for the North American tour hosting and performing for the festival beginning in January 2018. http://www.lulo-reinhardt-project.de/

Lulo will be joined by three new, incredibly dynamic musicians:

CALUM GRAHAM, at 24, has already enjoyed a career that would be the envy of most artists twice his age. This Alberta based guitarist, singer-songwriter has released five acclaimed albums and won major national music competitions, performed at the Olympic Games both in London and Vancouver, and has received numerous views and followers on Youtube. Most recently he's been named one of the Top 30 Guitarists in the World Under 30 by Acoustic Guitar Magazine. Andy McKee, one of today's most popular acoustic guitarists, calls Calum "the most promising young guitarist I've seen. His command of the guitar is already really impressive!"

Born in British Columbia and raised in High River, Alberta, Graham's musical journey began in earnest at age 18 in the summer of 2010, when he attended the Canadian Guitar Festival and entered the prestigious Canadian Fingerstyle Guitar Competition. Impressed with his original compositions, the judges awarded Graham with a first place finish, a feat no other teenager has accomplished in the history of the festival. Graham just recently released his fifth studio album, Tabula Rasa, recorded with world-renowned acoustic guitarist Antoine Dufour. Adding an extra dimension to his compositions, the album introduces Graham's soulful vocals to his audience for the first time. https://calumgraham.com/
