Falcon's Eye Theatre Announces ALICE IN WONDERLAND

The Falcon's Eye closes its twelfth season with our own adaptation of Alice in Wonderland. Alice's story takes a sharp turn as she falls down the rabbit hole into the dark and mysterious Wonderland. The Falcon's Eye Theatre presents Lewis Carroll's fairy tale of the absurd in this exuberant, funny and strikingly pertinent production.

With more than 50 characters in the current adaptation of the classic play, Alice in Wonderland, Falcon's Eye boasts a full cast of nearly 30 actors, and many additional non-human characters.

As always, Falcon's Eye Theatre puts its own unique twist on the classic play. With original music compositions by Wesley Murphy, a frequent Falcon's Eye creative, to Indonesian inspired shadow puppetry, the creative team always looks to bring exciting, out-of-the-box technology to the stage. Not only will the human characters in Alice in Wonderland interact with each other, this adaptation will showcase communication between humans and animation technology. Video game puppets will feature live actors in front of a green screen - all brought to you exclusively by the award-winning Falcon's Eye creative team.

Lewis Carroll (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson), is best known for his novels Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865) and Through the Looking-Glass, And What Alice Found There (1872), and, still enjoyed by readers throughout the world, they have been adapted for radio, television, and motion pictures. Writing at a very early age, Dodgson displayed a talent for writing engaging prose as well as verse. Dodgson also contributed widely to newspapers and magazines. The book is infused with Carroll's unique sense of humor and reflects his love of punning and sophisticated plays on language. Following his death, it was said of Dodgson, "The brilliant, venturesome imagination, defying forecast with ever fresh surprise; the sense of humour in its finest and most naive form; the power to touch with lightest hand the undercurrent of pathos in the midst of fun; the audacity of creative fancy, and the delicacy of insight-these are rare gifts; and surely they were his."
