On the Upper West Side of New York City, two rival street gangs - the Jets and the Sharks - enage in a ferocious battle while love blossoms in spite of it all. With music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and choreography by Jerome Robbins, the Tony Award-winning Broadway hit became an Oscar-winning film, and remains an all-time stage favorite.
