WCT Staged Reading Of FEEDBACK LOOP Captures The Grit And Heart Of 90's Music Scene Image

Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) will present the premiere staged readings of Feedback Loop, a compelling new play that captures the grit and heart of the 90's music scene, written and directed by Pat O'Neill, grand prize winner of the 2017 Aery Festival.

Feedback Loop explores how the lives of five friends and a teen ex-prostitute tangle and break in a tale of sex, drugs, loneliness, faith, and rock and roll in suburban anywhere USA.

Performances take place at WCT's black box performance space at 23 Water St. in Ossining evenings at 8 pm on Thursday, July 19; Friday, July 20; and Saturday, July 21; matinees on July 21 at 2 pm and Sunday, July 22 at 3 pm with a special performance at the Bethany Arts Community (BAC), at 40 Somerstown Road, Ossining, NY on Sunday, July 29 at 3 pm. A talk-back with the playwright and cast will take place on Sunday, July 22 after the 3 pm performance. General tickets are $15. Discounted tickets are available for WCT members, students, seniors and groups of 5+. Seating is limited; online purchase is strongly recommended: https://feedbackloopwct18.brownpapertickets.com/

Says WCT Executive Director Alan Lutwin, "Pat's voice speaks powerfully in this highly original play, one that is sure to grip audiences and never let go. He has captured a decade and a community with fluency including all the subtleties and nuances. We are proud to present the debut of this piece by a bold and prolific new writer who is already making his mark on the theater scene."

Pat O'Neill's one-act, The Erythrosine Ballad, which he also wrote and directed, won best play, best male actor and best female actor at the Aery Festival in Garrison, NY - only once before in the 11 years since Aery began has a play received three awards. Both Feedback Loop and The Erythrosine Ballad were developed and dramaturged through the WCT play process.
