The White Plains Performing Arts Center play reading series, that features the Tony Award-winners for "Best Play" since the award's creation in 1948, continues with this months' reading of Arthur Miller's Death of Salesman on Friday, September 12 at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $10 each. The Nakd Stage Play Reading Series features actors with scripts in hand, no sets, costumes or props. It's all about the words.

Death of Salesman revolves around the last days of Willy Loman, a failing salesman, who cannot understand how he failed to win success and happiness. Through a series of tragic soul-searching revelations of the life he has lived with his wife, his sons, and his business associates, we discover how his quest for the "American Dream" kept him blind to the people who truly loved him. A thrilling work of deep and revealing beauty that remains one of the most profound classic dramas of the American theatre.

The cast includes Maggie Thompson (Linda Loman), Steve Kaplan (Happy Loman), David Perlow (Biff Loman), Jacob Wingfield (Bernard/Stanley), Galit Sperling (The Woman),Philip J. Cutrone (Charley), Scott Bierko (Uncle Ben), Reid Aronson (Howard Wagner & Stage Directions), Emma Donson(Jenny/Letta), Christina Tompkins (Miss Forsythe) and Jorge Acosta as Willy Loman.

This staged reading of Death of a Salesman is directed by Jeff Raab.

Join us as we rekindle memories of great, award-winning plays and focus on the powerful words and intentions of amazing playwrights.

The next three playreadings are Thomas Heggan & Joshua Logan's Mister Roberts on September 25, T.S. Eliot's The Cocktail Party on October 3 and The Diary of Anne Frank on November 20. All show times are8:00 pm and all tickets are $10.

The performances are at the White Plains theatre, located on the third level of City Center off Mamaroneck Avenue in downtown White Plains.
