The White Plains Performing Arts Center (WPPAC) invites you to laugh off your golf shirt at the NY Regional Premiere of THE FOX ON THE FAIRWAY, a tribute from Ken Ludwig (Lend Me A Tenor, Moon Over Buffalo) to the great English farces of the 1930s and 1940s, which will be onstage from today, May 16 - June 1.

The Fox on the Fairway is a charmingly madcap adventure about love, life and the eternal love affair with...golf.

The play takes audiences on a hilarious romp which begins as Quail Valley Country Club prepares to take on archrival Crouching Squirrel Country Club in the Annual Inter-Club Golf Tournament. With a sizable wager made between the two Executive Directors at stake; the contest plays out amidst three love affairs, a disappearing diamond, objectionable sweaters and an exploding vase.

With lines like: "Golf and sex are the only things you can enjoy without being good at them." and "Golf is easy. The first thing you do is buy clothes that don't match." we know you'll be rolling in the aisles with uncontrollable laughter. This show is IRRESISTIBLE!

Joining the cast of The Fox on the Fairway are Jorge Acosta (WPPAC's Lend Me A Tenor) as "Bingham;" Amanda Renee Baker as "Pamela;" Marianne Matthews as "Muriel;" Nick Piacente as "Justin;" Susan Slotoroff as "Louise;" and Cordell Stahl as "Dickie."

This production is directed by Jeremy Quinn (WPPAC producing artistic director and director of WPPAC's acclaimed productions of LES MISERABLES, Lend Me A Tenor, August: Osage County and The Color Purple). The rest of the creative team includes scenic design by Dana Kenn, costume design by Antonio Consuegra, lighting design by Cecilia Durbin, sound design by William Neal, with production stage manager Karen Loftus.

The Fox on the Fairway will play the White Plains Performing Arts Center May 16-18 (Friday and Saturday at 8pm; Sunday at 2pm); May 22-25 (Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8pm; Sunday at 2pm) and May 29-June 1 (Thursday at 2pm; Friday and Saturday at 8pm; Sunday at 2pm).

All performances are at the White Plains theatre, located on the third level of City Center off Mamaroneck Avenue in downtown White Plains.
