Random Farms Kids' Theater Presents SHREK, Now thru 8/4
The Random Farms Kids' Theater will present Shrek, a musical based on the Dream Works film, at The Tarrytown Music Hall, today, July 26 through August 4.
Shrek, The Musical brings the hilarious story of everyone's favorite ogre to dazzling new life on the stage. In a faraway kingdom turned upside down, things get ugly when an unseemly ogre - not a handsome prince - shows up to rescue a feisty princess. Throw in a donkey who won't shut up, a bad guy with a SHORT temper, over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there's one on hand... and his name is Shrek.
Shrek is part romance, part twisted fairy tale and all irreverent fun for everyone!
The production is made up of 130 young people who are divided into four casts. They come from throughout the tri-state area and have a wealth of theater, film and television experience.
The performances are 7/26 @ 11am & 7pm, 7/27 @ 1pm, 7/28 @ 1pm, 8/2 @ 11am & 7pm, 8/3 @ 1pm and 8/4 @ 1pm. The theater is located at 13 Main Street in Tarrytown. Directions can be found at www.tarrytownmusichall.org.
Tickets for Shrek are $18 (adults), $16 (children under 12 and seniors), $14 (groups of 20+) and $10 (camps). Premium seating tickets (first four rows of center orchestra) are $23.
