ALFIO To Perform at Westchester Broadway Theatre, 9/14

ALFIO, the Australian-Italian singer/composer/musician and recording star who is considered to be one of the great voices in contemporary music today, will headline the Ciao Italia dinner show at the Westchester Broadway Dinner Theatre in Elmsford, NY, on Monday, November 14, 2011.

The Sydney native, who recently moved to New York, was one of the star attractions at last weekend's National Italian American Foundation's 36th Anniversary Gala in Washington, DC, where his video, "The Power of One: 9/11 Unity and Hope," was screened for more than 3,000 delegates and a VIP audience that included President Barack Obama, Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, the Hon. Nancy Pelosi, Supreme Court Justice Hon. Samuel Alito, Jr. and former US Sen. Alfonso D'Amato.

In an exciting show, ALFIO pays homage to his Italian heritage that takes audiences on a sentimental journey with much loved Italian and English classics that resonate around the world. An accomplished songwriter, musician and composer, ALFIO is achieving much critical acclaim with his own songs such as "Il Nostro Sogno," a song about a wish for world peace which is currently being recorded and released by other artists around the world. This hit single pushed his debut album on Warner Music Australia to Top 10 and Gold status in Australia. "Voca Pura" is his loving tribute to Luciano Pavarotti, which ALFIO wrote after a memorable dinner they shared together in Sydney and which was sent to Pavarotti shortly before his death. Another of ALFIO's popular songs is "Passione e Volutta," a theme he sings about frequently - Passion and love. ALFIO, who is working on a new album and just completed a tour of Canada will perform mostly songs performed in English, although he will also perform in Italian and Spanish.
