The Courthouse Center For The Arts Presents SWEENEY TODD 11/6-21

Join the Courthouse Center For The Arts as they delve into the macabre 19th Century London, England. Sweeny Todd is the infamous tale of the unjustly exiled barber who returns to London seeking revenge against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife who then met an untimely death. His thirst for blood soon expands to include his unfortunate customers, and the resourceful proprietress, Mrs. Lovett, of the pie shop downstairs soon has the people of London lining up in droves with her mysterious new meat pie recipe!

Nominated for 9 Tony's and winning 8 including Best Musical, Best Original Score, and Best Book of a Musical in 1979 Sweeney Todd is a musical not to be missed! Sophisticated, macabre, visceral and uncompromising, Sweeney Todd retains a great sense of fun, by cleverly mixing intense drama with uproariously entertaining moments of dark humor: audiences find themselves laughing hysterically one moment and gasping with horror the next.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street runs November 6 - 21, shows are at 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 2pm on Sundays.
