Ocean State Theatre Company (OSTC), the not-for-profit producing entity at the historic Theatre By The Sea, is proud to announce a special 2011 bonus production of the wildly popular comic thriller, Alfred Hitchcock's The 39 Steps. The Rhode Island premiere presentation will enjoy a limited run at Theatre By The Sea from September 8-18, 2011.
Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have The 39 Steps, Broadway's longest running comedy. This two-time Tony® Award -winner is a fast-paced, hilarious whodunit, which features over 150 zany characters portrayed by four actors in a plot packed with intrigue, international danger, old-fashioned romance, high-spirited comedy, and a death-defying finale."We are absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to produce the Rhode Island premiere of this critically acclaimed comedy," said Amiee Turner, Producing Artistic Director for Ocean State Theatre Company.
