PBS KIDS' Mr. Steve To Open Theatre By The Sea's 2010 Children's Festival 7/2

Theatre By The Sea owner and producer Bill Hanney, Producing Artistic Director Amiee Turner and Managing Producer Joel Kipper are proud to open Theatre By The Sea's 2010 Children's Festival with SteveSongs on Friday, July 2, 2010.

Steve Roslonek of SteveSongs has been writing and performing award-winning music for families for over a decade and recently gained national attention as the musical co-host, Mr. Steve, on the PBS KIDS morning block featuring favorites such as "Curious George," "Clifford the Big Red Dog," "Super Why," and "Martha Speaks."

A rising star on the national kid's music scene, Steve's music is a unique blend of clever lyrics, catchy melodies, educational themes, pure silliness and fun participatory songs that kids love and adults find irresistible. He has delighted audiences coast to coast with his engaging and entertaining shows, including appearances at the White House, The Kennedy Center, and Boston's Fenway Park. Steve has earned numerous awards, including two Parents' Choice Gold Awards, a NAPPA Honor, an iParenting Media Award, and a Children's Music Web Award. Steve will be playing PBS KIDS favorites along with rockin' hits from his five award-winning CDs.

After the performance, families can enjoy refreshments which will be available for purchase at the gazebo.

SteveSongs will be presented on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 10:00 am and 12:00 noon. The theatre is located at 364 Cards Pond Road, Matunuck, RI. Single tickets are $10.00 each with packages of three shows or more for $8.00 per ticket. Discount rates are available for groups of 20 or more by calling (401) 782-3800 x18.
