Ocean State Theatre Company's 'Take a Seat' Challenge Continues

By:

Ocean State Theatre Company (OSTC), the not-for-profit professional theatre company, which is currently celebrating its fourth season in its state-of-the-art theatre in Warwick, is thrilled to have surpassed last season's "Take a Seat" Challenge goal, by nearly 20%! During its first season, 89 seats were "taken," and are proudly displaying dedicated nameplates throughout the theatre.

"We are so humbled by the response and grateful to every supporter," said Amiee Turner, OSTC's Producing Artistic Director. "The second phase of the 'Take a Seat' Challenge has already begun and we are thrilled with the number of seats which have already been taken as part of the new phase. Our patrons have seized the opportunity to support our organization and become a real part of Ocean State Theatre for years to come by placing their name, the name of a loved one, and business names on one or more of the fixed seats in the auditorium."

NOW it's your chance to be an important part of Ocean State Theatre! Why not consider "taking a seat" for one or more holiday gifts this season?

Each seat is being sold for $500, is 100% tax deductible, and will include name recognition on a plaque, which will be affixed to the individual seat. Seat locations are being sold on a first-come first-served basis and will be a lasting gift memorializing your personalized message, your name, your company's name, or that of a loved one. Each donor may make a single $500 gift for each seat or choose one of two payment plans (three or six month). All seats purchased by July 31, 2016 will be installed prior to the 2016/17 season.

Ocean State Theatre Company invites the community to show its support and Take a Seat! Donations may be made at the box office, online 24 hours a day at www.OceanStateTheatre.org and via telephone during normal box office hours by calling (401) 921-6800, or by picking up or printing out an order form and mailing it to: Ocean State Theatre, 1245 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick, RI 02886.

Subscriptions and single tickets for the 2015-16 Season, which includes Breaking Legs, 1776, The Miracle Worker, and Anything Goes, this year's holiday production of It's a Wonderful Life, the six Family Fun Fest shows including Yes Virginia, The One-Man Variety Show, Bubbleology, James and the Giant Peach Lollipops for Breakfast and LuckyBob, and several special events are currently on sale to the public. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 12 noon - 6:00 pm, Saturdays from 12 noon - 4:00 pm, and from 12 noon until curtain on performance days.
