Gamm Theatre Announces Gamm Gala 32!

By:

The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre (The Gamm) will hold its annual fundraiser on Monday, April 3 at 6 p.m. at the historic Pawtucket Armory, 172 Exchange Street, Pawtucket. GAMM GALA 32 will honor Maureen and Tom Moakley with the David Wax Award for Outstanding Commitment to the Arts in recognition of their remarkable contributions to the arts in Rhode Island. This special evening also celebrates the life and astonishing artistry of the late Natalie Babbitt, author of "Tuck Everlasting" and a longtime Gamm supporter.

"We are thrilled to be honoring Maureen and Tom Moakley with this year's David Wax Award for Outstanding Commitment to the Arts. The Gamm, Trinity and the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts have all benefited from the Moakley's care and expertise. This year's gala will also celebrate the life and art of our friend, Natalie Babbitt. It's going to be a wonderful evening." said Artistic Director Tony Estrella.

Managing Director Oliver Dow added, "David Wax spent his entire life in service to the arts as a leader, administrator and patron. With this award we pay tribute to individuals who have demonstrated a similar commitment to promoting and preserving the arts in our community. Maureen and Tom Moakley embody these principles and we are delighted to recognize them at this year's Gala."

Guests will enjoy an open bar cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres, followed by a 3-course sit-down dinner by Russell Morin Fine Catering. A silent auction starts online on March 6 at biddingforgood.com/gammtheatre and will conclude at the event. Music will be provided by The Tom Chace Trio.Tickets start at $175 per person.
