95.5 WBRU & Trinity Rep Partner for Under35@TRC

Trinity Rep announces their partnership with 95.5 WBRU, the new sponsor of Under35@TRC. Open to anyone ages 21 to 35, the free membership program includes $25 tickets to all regular Trinity Rep productions, a free drink at the theater, invites to special events, and members only 95.5 WBRU Nights with entertainment provided by the 95.5 WBRU Crew. The first 95.5 WBRU Night, "A Red Carpet Affair," is on December 5 for the Tony Award winning production of Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. "Many of us are fresh out of school (or at least pretending we're still fresh out of school) and the thought of paying student loans for the next several decades while trying to have a social life is enough to make us cry," empathizes Ted Chylack, Under35@TRC Party Czar, "I hear it all the time, 'But Ted, I can barely afford to pay for my ramen and bottom shelf gin, let alone theater tickets!" So we hope this makes it a little easier and a little more fun for the kids to make it out to the theater.

Partnering with 95.5 WBRU expands the program as it moves in to its second season. The upcoming event, "A Red Carpet Affair," invites Under35ers to make a full night of it, with a pre-show reception at Bravo Brasserie, 123 Empire St in downtown Providence, followed by a post-show party in the theater's lobby where guests will eat, drink and mingle with the cast and crew. Taking a cue from the show's title character, Masha, suggested attire is creative cocktail. The station will host a second bash in the spring connected to the world premiere Veronica Meadows by Stephen Thorne. Becoming a member is easy and free.
