Raleigh Little Theatre Stages QPQRS, ETC as Part of 2013-14 Youth Series, Now thru 3/30

By:

The penultimate offering in the 2013-14 Youth Series at RLT is OPQRS, etc., Madge Miller's original fable based on the fallacy that one color is superior to another. Even the alphabet suffers in Ottoville, ruled by a ridiculous dictator, Otto the Official. He decrees that orange is the only acceptable hue. It takes the arrival of an artist, loving all the tints of the rainbow, to paint Otto in his true colors!

OPQRS, etc. is directed by Kathleen Rudolph, RLT's Associate Youth Theatre and Education Director. The production stars Jesse R. Gephart, last seen at RLT in The 39 Steps. During the run, works from the North Carolina Museum of Art's Family Fun Saturday, which studied the link between color and emotion, will be displayed in the lobby of the Gaddy-Goodwin Theatre.

RLT has just announced 2014 Summer Camps, including new sessions in Wendell and the Teens on Stage / Teens Backstage production of Fiddler On The Roof. More information is available at http://raleighlittletheatre.org/learn/summer/index.html.

Tickets for all events at RLT can be purchased by calling the box office (919)-821-3111, Monday through Friday, noon-5 PM, or by visiting the theatre's website at www.raleighlittletheatre.org. OPQRS, etc. runs from March 14-30. The Thursday and Friday showings are at 7:30 PM while the Saturday and Sunday showings each have a 1 PM matinee and a 5 PM performance. There are also two performances on Wednesday, March 19th at 10am and 12:30p. Tickets for adults and teens are $13 and tickets for Children (age 12 and under) are $9. The show will be in the Gaddy-Goodwin Teaching Theatre.

Raleigh Little Theatre is located at 301 Pogue St., Raleigh, N.C. 27607, adjacent to the Raleigh Rose Garden.

Founded in 1936, Raleigh Little Theatre (RLT) is one of the oldest continuously operating community theatres in the United States.
