Photo Flash: First Look at Deep Dish Theater's SHE STOOPS TO CONQUER

By:
Popular for over 200 years, Goldsmiths comic romp is a tasty stew of mistaken identities, social sabotage and happy endings. Convinced that his hosts are lower class buffoons and the love of his life is a barmaid, a young gentleman nearly ends up as one of the have-nots in this much-loved classic. Wit and warmth are brought to life in Oliver Goldsmiths eighteenth century comedy, She Stoops to Conquer, presented by Deep Dish Theater Company now through November 17. Directed by Tony Lea, this chuckler continues the company's twelfth season at University Mall. Get a first look at the show in the photos below!

A tongue-tied wreck with the ladies, young Mr. Marlow believes he can only talk to those beneath him, not a woman such as Kate Hardcastle, whom he is expected to wed. So, when Tony, Kate's mischievous brother, leads him to an inn that appears to be run by buffoons and harboring the barmaid of his dreams--an inn that is in fact the Hardcastle estate--Marlow finds himself in the middle of class warfare of the most hilarious kind.

This Deep Dish productions talented cast includes Brett Bolton, Steve Dobbins, Marcia Edmundson, Brian Fisher, Marilyn Gorman, Thom Gradisher, Thomas Porter, George Rady, Amelia Sciandra, Rebekah Vaisey and Jeffrey Vizcaino. The design staff includes Kenneth Rowland (set), Liz Droessler (lights), David Serxner (costumes), Devra Thomas (properties), and Marc Maximov (sound). Jen Bauer is the stage manager.
