North Raleigh Arts & Creative Theatre (NRACT) is proud to announce It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play as their 2017 holiday show. This beloved American classic comes to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. With the help of an ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to the stage and foley artists creating live sound effects, the story of an idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve.

The show features Steve Migdon as Freddie Filmore the radio announcer and voice of Mr. Gower, Mr. Potter, Joseph, Peter Bailey, Ernie, Old Man Collins, Ed, Pete, Man at Martini's, Nick, Bridge Keeper, Binky, and Cop, Tony Hefner as Harry Heywood who performs Harry Bailey (and young Harry), Bert, Billy Bailey, Clarence Oddbody (the Angel), Sam Wainwright, Martini, Dr. Campbell, Charlie, Man at the bank, Horrace the teller , Mr. Welch, Tommy, and the Sheriff. Playing Lana Sherwood is Bonnie Webster who will voice Violet, young Violet, Rose Bailey, Matilda, Ruth, Mrs. Hatch, Mrs.Thompson, Schultz, ZuZu, Janie, and Sadie Vance. Performing the roles made famous by Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed are Christian O'Neal as Jake Laurents playing George Bailey, and Rhonda Lemon as Sally Applewhite the voice of Mary Hatch. Rounding out the cast are jingle singers and foley artists Del Flack and Alicia Whitley.

NRACT invites the community not only to the production, but also to join them in supporting the Salvation Army Angel Tree project. Angels will be available for adoption beginning in November.
