Max Bush's SNOW WHITE Set for Raleigh Little Theatre, Now thru 3/10

By:

A classic take on a childhood favorite, this version of Snow White is for the whole family. Snow White, The Queen's Fair Daughter, adapted by Max Bush, is part of the Raleigh Little Theatre's youth series, and opens tonight, March 1, 2013.

This play is the first of two back-to-back interpretations of Grimm Brothers tales, produced by Raleigh Little Theatre to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the publication of these tales in 1812. The second is a musical version of The Brementown Musicians, running from May 3-19, 2013.

This adaptation of Snow White tells the story of a mother and daughter who grow further apart as they get older. When the curiosity and ambitions of the young Snow White become too much for her controlling mother to handle, she is abandoned in the woods.

While in the woods, Snow White finds friendship in seven active dwarves who take her in and encourage a newfound romance that she finds with a handsome prince. As her jealous mother tries to ruin the life of young Snow White, her new friends find a way to save the day.

Also for young people, Raleigh Little Theatre recently announced its 24th year of summer camps. These include past favorites as well as new sessions in May for children enrolled in year-round schools. RLT's education programs serve children ages 4-18 with comprehensive theatrical training.
