KING OF QUEENS Kevin James Announces Stand-Up Comedy Tour

Working class funnyman, Kevin James will be returning to DPAC, Durham Performing Arts Center on June 5, 2013. Following his 2012 sellout show at DPAC, Kevin James is back by popular demand with new material for another big night of laughs.

"DPAC has become one of the top comedy theaters in the country, and Kevin James choosing to return so quickly after his sold-out 2012 show is great news. Kevin James is a producer, co-writer, and star of the hit comedies Paul Blart: Mall Cop (2009), Zookeeper (2011) and his latest film, Here Comes The Boom. James starred with Adam Sandler in Columbia Pictures' blockbuster Grown Ups (2010) and I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry (2007); he broke into the film world in 2005 in Columbia Pictures' Hitch starring opposite Will Smith.

The King of Queens, which premiered in 1998, ran for nine seasons on CBS with James starring and executive producing, and it garnered him an Emmy nomination in 2006 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. In 2001, James brought his stand-up act to TV with Sweat the Small Stuff, a one-hour special for Comedy Central. In 2005, Kevin James and Ray Romano executive produced and starred in the HBO Sports Special Making the Cut: The Road to Pebble Beach, a documentary about the Pebble Beach Pro Am Golf Tournament that was nominated for a Sports Emmy.

Aside from his on-camera work, James's voice has been featured in the animated films Barnyard (2006) for Nick Movies, as well as Monster House (2006) and Hotel Transylvania (2012) for Sony Pictures Animation. For more on Kevin, visit http://www.KevinJames.com.
