Honest Pint Theatre Co. to Present Regional Debut of THE MYSTERY OF LOVE & SEX Image

Honest Pint Theatre Co. will present the regional premiere of THE MYSTERY OF LOVE AND SEX by Bathsheba Doran.

Directed by Dana Marks, the cast includes John Allore, Chloe Apple, Chris Helton, and Susannah Hough.

Deep in the American South, Charlotte and Jonny have been best friends since they were nine years old. She's Jewish, he's Christian; he's black, she's white. Their differences intensify their connection until sexual desire complicates everything in surprising, compulsive ways. This is an unexpected love story about where souls meet and the consequences of growing up. In this tender and funny exploration of the lives of two couples from two generations, Ms. Doran also probes such fertile mysteries as the fluidity of identity, our ability to keep secrets from both our family and even ourselves, and the difficulty - and the rewards - of forgiveness.

Performances play October 27 & 28 at 8:00 pm, October 29 at 2:00 pm, November 3 & 4 at 8:00 pm, November 5 at 2:00 pm, November 10 & 11 at 8:00 pm, and November 12 at 2:00 pm at NRACT (7713-51 Lead Mine Road, Raleigh, NC 27615). Tickets $20 general/$15 under 25 years old or over 65 years old at www.nract.org/shows/#/tickets.
