Common Ground Theatre "Small Series" will present THE CHAIRS by Eugene Ionesco, from September 12, 13, 14, 19, 20 & 21 at Common Ground Theatre, 4815B Hillsborough Road, Durham. For information and reservations at (919) 698-3870 or www.cgtheatre.com.

This "absurdist farce," written by master playwright Eugene Ionesco, takes the audience on a frantic journey through an evening in the life of two ninety-year-olds as they welcome a large audience into their home to witness their final message to the world. Written in 1952, this piece explores the ideas of alienation, aging, and our ultimate responsibility to the world in which we live.

The show features Jeff Alguire and Rachel Klem with support by Amanda & Shelby Hahn.

Common Ground Theatre's "Small Series" is an innovative theatre offering by many of the best performers in the Triangle area. Selected artists are encouraged and supported by Common Ground Theatre to find classic one-acts to rehearse and present. With little to no technical aspects to get in the way, artists are free to connect with the text and create Moving Theatre for the public to experience.
