World Premiere of SCHEHERAZADE Ballet Comes to Prague's National Theatre

The Czech National Ballet will present a new production of Scheherazade at The National Theatre in Prague on May 21, 2025. This world premiere, choreographed by renowned Italian artist Mauro Bigonzetti, promises a mesmerizing blend of contemporary and classical dance, bringing to life the enchanting tales of the legendary storyteller from One Thousand and One Nights.
Bigonzetti, celebrated for his innovative storytelling through movement, collaborates once again with set and lighting designer Carlo Cerri to create a visually stunning performance. Set to Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s evocative symphonic suite, this adaptation offers a fresh perspective on a classic narrative, emphasizing the beauty and expressiveness of the human form.
