Last Chance to See CoHo Productions' Frankie and Johnny; Closes Feb. 21

By: Feb. 19, 2009

Frankie and Johnny, two lonely, middle-aged people whose first date ends with them tumbling into bed. Johnny is certain he has found his soul mate in Frankie. She, on the other hand, is far more cautious and disinclined to jump to conclusions.

As the night unfolds, they slowly begin to reveal themselves to each other as they take tentative steps towards the possible start of a new relationship. Back stories, naked emotions (and bodies), past failures folded in with a scintilla of hope. The dynamics of their relationship over the course of the night provides comic and poignant moments that resonate with just about anyone who has ever been in a relationship. Set against the music of Bach's Goldberg Variations and Debussy's Clair de Lune, this touching and unlikely romance is the perfect show to warm audiences during the cold of winter. Don't miss Terrence McNally's Frankie and Johnny in the Claire de Lune!

Co-produced and directed by veteran Portland theatre artist Antonio Sonera.
