Pittsburgh Musical Theater Opens Season With ANNIE

Pittsburgh Musical Theater continues their annual Pittsburgh Creative and Performing Arts School (CAPA) collaborative production with Annie at the Byham Theater, 101 Sixth St., downtown.

Performances are 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, Friday, Oct. 26, Saturday, Oct. 27 & 2:00 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 28.

Single tickets start as low as $18 and can be purchased by calling 412-456-6666 or visiting trustarts.org. Group rates are also available for these performances by contacting the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust at 412-471-6930 or groupsales@pgharts.org.

Special student matinees will be at 10 a.m., Oct. 25 & 26. Tickets for these performances are $12 each, with one free ticket included for every 25 purchased. Contact Pittsburgh Musical Theater directly at 412-539-0900 for booking and availability.

Little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930's New York City. Follow her cheery spark of positivity in this fun-filled adventure of friendship in one of the world's best-loved musicals.

Annie is a special presentation by the students of the Richard E. Rauh Conservatory, backed by the talented CAPA Orchestra, and fully produced by the professional artists of Pittsburgh Musical Theater. As many as 50 students from the Rauh Conservatory and 50 CAPA students will be in the production.

About Pittsburgh Musical Theater

Pittsburgh Musical Theater (PMT) is a multi-faceted, non-profit (501c3) musical theater company and conservatory based in Pittsburgh's West End. Founded in 1990, it is currently under the leadership of Colleen Doyno, Executive Artistic Director. PMT offers a multitude of multi-disciplinary courses for students of all ages and is home to one the most comprehensive pre-college programs in the city. PMT also produces a professional stage series that plays out of the Byham Theater, located in the Cultural District, and the Gargaro Theater in the city's West End.
