National Speakers Set For Molumby's Million Performances At Centre Theatre

By:

Iron Age Theatre and The Centre Theater continue thier commitment to expand the theatrical experience from a simple entertainment event to include research support for the audience on-line, in the program and through other media.

The November run of "Molumby's Million" will include three such events: two Speaker's Nights, November 6 with the playwright and November 20 with the Author of "Shelby's Folly", and an opportunity to support Cancer research on November 14.

Jason Kelly will be in Norristown to speak about the fight and his book. Shelby's Folly" , a history of the events of the play, on November 20. University of Nebraska Press has released Chicago author Kelly's book about the fight, the events leading up to, and consequences of it. "Jason Kelly's Shelby's Folly is a highly entertaining slice of American history using Jack Densely's ...title fight ... as a backdrop for brazen American optimism, small town politics, and snake oil salesmanship."

Richard Arlin Stull of ARETE
"We are excited to have two impressive speaker's night events for this production. The opportunity to talk with an expert in the content of the play and a nationally recognized playwright in Norristown is exciting." statEd Randall Wise co director of the play. Both of these talkback events are included in the ticket price of the performance and will be live streamed.
