THE SPITFIRE GRILL Music and Book by James Valcq Lyrics and Book by Fred Alley Based on the film by Lee David Zlotoff Directed by Simon Cunningham SYNOPSIS: Percy Talbott has just been released from five years in prison. Seeking a fresh start, she lands in the small town of Gilead, Wisconsin, where she finds a job at Hannah’s Spitfire Grill (the only restaurant in town). The grill is for sale, but no one is buying. Percy convinces Hannah to raffle it off in a contest which requires a $100 entry fee, and an essay on why you want the grill. Soon, mail is arriving by the wheelbarrow full, and things are heating up at the Spitfire Grill. Featuring gorgeous, soulful, original folk music performed live by FMT's pit band, The Spitfire Grill is an inspiring celebration of friendship, community, and the healing power of second chances in a small town.
