This remarkable story delivers an up-close and true account of the pain and loneliness of one John Merrick, a rarest of human beings from 19th Century London. Merrick’s narrative impart his story as a man deformed, and facing a brutal society, confronting a lifetime of betrayal, rejection and exploitation. The production’s intensity is as heartbreaking as it is eye-opening.
