Unscrewed Theater Is Celebrating its 15th Birthday!

On May 6th Unscrewed Theater celebrates Not Burnt Out Just Unscrewed's 15th birthday with a special "super sized" show. It includes the current cast as well as many alumni cast members! Not Burnt Out Just Unscrewed (NBOJU) has been a mainstay of Tucson's comedy scene since 2002. Cast members perform for the shear love of entertaining people with their amazing short form improv comedy shows.

In addition to the fantastic improv show, the merriment includes the unique Caribbean sounds of Apocalypso (pankids.com and facebook.com/pankids), the Food Truck Roundup offering affordable and delicious local culinary delights, and, of course, there will be birthday cake!

Unscrewed Theater's Executive Director and longtime NBOJU troupe member, Chris Seidman, stated "For more than a dozen years NBOJU literally took its show on the road. We went to where the people gathered. We traveled throughout Southern Arizona to bring improv comedy and laughter to kids of all ages. Now, as we celebrate our 15th year, we are so pleased that we have a permanent home where Tusconans can gather and laugh in our theater".

In 2013, Mayor Jonathon Rothchild described NBOJU as "Tucson's best kept secret".

Now in 2017 the cat is out of the bag! Thousands of audience members have enjoyed NBOJU's unique brand of improv comedy in the Unscrewed Theater located at 3244 E. Speedway Blvd. At just $5 a show, it's the best comedy value in all of Southern Arizona!

The festivities begin and the curtain rises at 7:30 PM to honor NBOJU's 15 years of performing and laughter!

Unscrewed Theater is a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Its mission is to teach, perform and produce all forms of live improvisational theater. Unscrewed Theater is a solely volunteer-led and managed community theater.
