Theatre Artists Studio Presents NEW SUMMER SHORTS Play Festival, Now thru 6/24

Theatre Artists Studio has announced its final event of the season, the New Summer Shorts 10-Minute Play Festival, set for today, June 14 through June 24.

Join the Studio for a variety of new 10-minute plays in its fifth annual festival of “shorts” written by Studio members and packed with drama and comedy.

Carrie and Hairy by Lynn Timmons Edwards

When empty-nester Carrie befriends a singing daddy long-legs living in her dining room, all is calm until Jack decides to paint, questioning the spider's future. Adapted from a monologue, “The Uninvited Guest,” by Charlotte Brooks.

Chances Are by David Middleman

In this homage to Beckett’s WAITING FOR GODOT, a befuddled trio grapple with the existential - and Top 40 - question, “Should I stay or should I go?”

The Theatre Artists Studio is located at 4848 E. Cactus Rd, #406, Scottsdale, Az. The festival runs June 14-24 (Thursdays-Sundays); June 14, 15, 16, 21, 22 & 23 at 7:30 p.m.; June 17 & 24 at 2:00 p.m.

The Studio is a member organization of actors, playwrights, directors, producers and designers founded to provide a place for theatre artists to work at their craft in an atmosphere which fosters mutual growth and collaboration through Studio affiliation.
