TheaterWorks Presents FOREVER PLAID At The Peoria Center For The Performing Arts TheaterWorks announces its upcoming production of the hit Off-Broadway revue, Forever Plaid.

Once upon a time, there were four guys (Sparky, Smudge, Jinx and Frankie) who discovered that they shared a love for music and then got together to become their idols - The Four Freshman, The Hi-Lo's and The Crew Cuts. Rehearsing in the basement of Smudge's family's plumbing supply company, they became "Forever Plaid". On the way to their first big gig, the "Plaids" are broadsided by a school bus and killed instantly. It is at the moment when their careers and lives end that the story of Forever Plaid begins.

With a book by Stuart Ross and music by various artists, Forever Plaid features songs such as: "Three Coins in the Fountain"; "Undecided"; "Moments to Remember"; "Love is a Many-Splendored Thing"; and more. The popular musical revue opened in November, 1989 at Steve McGraw's in New York City. It closed for rewrites and reopened in May, 1990 (also at McGraw's) where it closed on June, 1994.

The final MasterWorks production of the 2017-18 season, the production features Aaron Arseneault, Trey DeGroodt, Joshua Vern and Skyler Washburn, with direction by Steve Hilderbrand.

Forever Plaid will play on the Gyder stage at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts March 15 - April 30, followed by a three-performance special engagement at the Prescott Center for the Arts which will run April 20-22.
