Theater Works' Youth Works Academy Opens Registration; Classes Begin 9/10

It's your time to shine at Theater Works. Morph into a rock star, become the next Chris Rock or dance your way to the top with this fall's Youth Works Academy (YWA) at Theater Works.

Educating, elevating and enriching the community through the wonder of theater YWA puts more play in your life. Back with a new and improved schedule, classes are affordable, fun and provide a professional theater and acting experience.

For 12 weeks children (ages 3 - 18) will learn invaluable theatrical techniques, gain confidence and increase their communication skills. Visit theaterworks.org for the Teen Corner, Youth Circle and Itty Bitty class schedules and descriptions. Classes range between $120 - $150 / 12 week class. Registration is now open and classes begin the week of September 10th.

This fall semester has it all—Dance, Acting, Combat, Comedy, Vocals and much more! Not only does Theater Works offer after-school classes but classes for the homeschooler as well. With an experienced-based curriculum Theater Works YWA Homeschool will be studying Lewis Carroll's Adventures in Wonderland through acting, music, art and literature.

Theater Works' YWA classes are taught by professional teaching artists in a safe, encouraging and fun environment. A limited amount of scholarship support may be available. Please contact Daniel Schay, Executive Director for more information regarding scholarship funding.

Registration is now available online, over the phone or in person at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts. The Box Office is open from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily and may be reached at 623-815-7930 or visit theaterworks.org to download the Registration Form Theater Works is located in the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts at 8355 W Peoria Avenue, Peoria.
