East meets West in the award winning musical THE KING AND I. This enchanting musical follows the King of Siam and the Western Governess, Anna as they struggle to understand new cultures, ideas and ultimately acceptance. With a charming score THE KING AND I is the essence of musical theater, an occasion when drama, music, dance and decor combine to take the audience on an unforgettable journey. Starring in THE KING AND I production is the Internationally Acclaimed Television Sensation ~ Jay Españo as The King of Siam! Jay has worked with the best in the Asian region where he was cast in more than 60 plays, guested on soaps and sitcoms (in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines), hosted Batibot (Sesame Street franchise in the Philippines) as well as appeared in films and commercials. Also starring are Kristi MacEwan as Anna, Anna Nadasky as Tuptim and Sora Oh Lee as Lady Thiang.

THE KING AND I final performances are October 13 - 16, 2011 with performances Thursday - Saturday 7:30 p.m. and Sunday 2 p.m. Tickets for these performances are only $35.00 / adult and $25.00 / student (prices include service and processing fees). Theater Works is located in the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts (the theater with the copper roof) at 8355 W Peoria Avenue, Peoria.
